Its official I am taking my coming 4 year old Hungarian WB gelding to training, at Bill Basham's Full circle Ranch on Sunday. YEAH! ITs been along time coming. I've had to get Flair's issues under wrap before sending him off. I'll keep you all posted!

Yay! Bill & Angie trained my Dandy girl. Been wondering if I need to send her up for a refresher course again. I love that they get the horses out in the woods and trail ride them. Glad to hear that Flair is doing well enough to go too! Be sure to send Dynapro with him, and hit him with some for the trip too.

I had an uneventful haul to take my guy to Bill's place..except for the massive wind and rain. Flair hauled great! Got there, and Bill and I unloaded him, and Bill lead him in. We went to the house, then came back out, and Bill worked with Flair some. I was very pleased with what I saw with Bill and then Flair's reaction also! I am so excited. I'll keep you all posted!!

Its been awhile since updating on my guy Flair, which is now called PHil. He is doing fantastic in training. The first week he settled in well, and started his routine. He went thru some major temper tantrums, but got thru them. He is with a small herd of Bill and Angie's horses and loving them. HE bucked with the saddle on when it was first introduced, but hasn't since. I drove up to see him after his first week there, and got to see him. I was throughly impressed with his change of attitude. I haven't seen him in 2 weeks now, (as we were on vacation) I just called Angie 2 days ago to get an update... and she LOVES, LOVES and LOVES Phil!! She raved and raved about him. It sure made a momma proud. She said I have a heck of a nice horse! I can't wait to see him again. She has been working with him, and riding him for the past week, and really really enjoys training him. I decided to keep him there til the end of April, so he'll have a solid 45 days of training.

Hey Valerie, that's great news! Are you going to call him Phil once he is back home, or will he return to Flair? I'm planning a horsemanship clinic with Bill for May. You should sign up and bring Flair/Phil to the clinic. Then, Bill can coach you for two days on what he has learned and how you can communicate with him.

Hey Shelly- Flair has been PHil for some time now. He went to training as Phil... I know crazy name but it fits him. He is so much a goof ball, and Phil fits better. I was calling him "Phil Phil" for along time, and it just stuck. That clinic sounds great, be sure to post it on the forum and I will look at my finances once May rolls around, and see where I am at.
