The adoption process:
*Find the horse you are interested in adopting.
*Request an Adoption Application for that horse.
*Fill out the Adoption Application/Contract and return it with your signature.
*If you are approved to adopt, you will be notified within a couple of days, and you can make arrangements to meet your new horse and take him home.
*After adoption, send occasional updates and pictures to show how the horse is doing.
Other adoption information:
Adoption fees are based on the breed, age, health, and training of the horse. An adoption fee rarely ever covers the expenses associated with the horse being adopted, and getting it to the point of being adoptable. If by some rare chance, the adoption fee does bring a profit to Sunny Acres, it will be applied to another horse still in rehab.
All non-registered mares will be adopted out with a no-breeding clause. The world is already way too full of grade horses that are producing more grade horses.
If at any time you can no longer care for the horse you adopt or the horse is not working out for you, you may contact Sunny Acres Ranch for assistance in placing the horse in another approved home for you. Any adoption fee collected would come to you.
