The House passed H.R. 1018 (Restore Our American Mustangs Act) Thank you all for all of your efforts to help pass this very important bill. One step closer to Freedom! On to the Senate now. We'll keep you posted!
Here's the final vote:
Dem 206 (Y) 47 (N)
Rep 33 (Y) 138 (N) T
Total: 230 (Y) and 186 (N)
For those of you that don't know, in Nevada, the Mustangs were being rounded up and shot. Orders had actually been given to round up the orphan foals left behind and shoot them too, instead of give them to waiting volunteers. Thanksfully, with the passage of this bill, the Mustangs have some protection again!
Now, if Congress would just pass the Horse Slaughter Prevention bills.
