So my dog, Buddie needed flea an tick drops an i didnt have the money to buy the exspensive stuff so i got him Serageants Gold.I put it on him tuesday night around 5, and by ten he was running around scratching (or tryin) on everything.he was tryin to scratch on the couch, the wall and the floor. I was up with him all night he would whine an scream in pain.
The next morning i got on the internet to do some searching on the flea an tick stuff an i came across some info from poeple who had bought the same stuff, an there dogs had done the same thing that Buddie is doing.I called the vet an the vet said that they are have had alot of dogs coming in with problems form that product an to not use it. She said the product was making the dogs feel like thay were haveing hot needles stabbing in to them.she gave me some things to give him an to wash him in an i am hoping it works.
So whatever you do, do not use this product.

Good to know! Hopefully Buddy will be fine soon. I would get on Sergeant's website though and file a complaint on that product. They need to know it is causing problems so they can do a recall on it if they need to.
If you feed a tablespoon of brewer's yeast or garlic every day, it makes their skin smell and the fleas don't find the dog near as attractive. I have also rubbed diotamaceous earth (food grade, not the swimming pool kind) straight into their fur with no problems at all to the dog and the fleas disappeared quickly.
