Bill Basham will be teaching a Horsemanship and Biomechanics of Riding Clinic on May 16-17th in Prosser, WA, and has offered to donate a portion of the proceeds from this clinic to Sunny Acres Ranch. Bill is well known in the Northwest for his practical natural horsmanship methods. He trains out of his place in Potlatch, ID - www.fullcircle-ranch.com/. He has specialized in endurance riding and training endurance riders, working cow clinics, training hundreds of horses under saddle, and teaching numerous people how to have a better relationship with their horses. Bill's mentors include Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, and Buck Brannaman. He has also been studying with Wendy Murdoch to learn how to help his students advance their skills in the saddle. This should be a fantastic clinic, and you won't want to miss it! The cost to participate with your horse is $350 for both days. Auditors are welcome at $25 for both days, or $15 for one day. If you have any questions, please email me at shellyr@clearwire.net Thanks! Hope to see you there!

The clinic was a blast! I took my 7-year-old Appaloosa mare, Dandy. I have raised her from a baby, but I have only taken her to one other clinic. It was time to get our tune-up for the summer well on its way. I have always had a hard time with Dandy's steering. I was never really able to isolate her hindquarters or forehand and get them to move independently either. Bill helped us with these things, and by the end of the clinic, I could pick up one rein and step her hindquarters over nicely. We were also getting some nice turns on the haunches too. I see opening gates and maybe a spin or two in our future. ;D Me & Dandy Getting our instructions Working on our ground skills Simulating the trot and half halts on the balls Bill showing us how to isolate and move the hindquarters Syndi & Jack Michelle & Mist Practicing transitions Getting collected Bill coaching me on the half halt Isolating the hindquarters and forehand

I enjoyed sitting and watching everyone for afew hours on Sunday. It was great to see everyone, and they're lovely horses. Nice to see Bill again! I was sad I was not able to participate..but for sure next time. I've been working hard with my young warmblood gelding, and the ground work, and it shows! (Thanks for the compliment Bill) I enjoyed working with afew other horses too. Now, Its time to hit the saddle, and work on the ground stuff in the saddle.
